Job description

Our client is a long-standing contractor specialising in foundations and ground improvement projects, with proven capabilities across the commercial, residential, and infrastructure sectors.

They take pride in playing a vital role in some of New Zealand’s most complex and intricate geotechnical projects — from foundations for large-scale commercial and residential developments to bridge and maritime construction, as well as slip repairs and retaining walls across critical infrastructure.

About the role:

They have an opportunity for a Project Manager to drive day-to-day project performance, manage commercial and financial risk, and effectively engage with clients and other key stakeholders.

This is a great opportunity for someone with relevant project experience, or for an individual from a broader infrastructure background looking to gain experience with a specialist contractor delivering a diverse range of complex and challenging projects.

What’s in it for you?
  • Competitive salary package + accommodation + living away from home allowance
  • Awesome company culture
  • Work on complex and interesting projects
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery across piling and foundation works, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
  • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Manage project budgets and financial performance
  • Liaise with clients, engineers, and consultants
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Contribute to planning and methodology development
What we’re looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Circa 8-10 years’ experience working on relevant projects across the civil & infrastructure space
  • Proven experience engaging effectively with clients and stakeholders
  • Solution focused with ability to manage project financials and performance
  • NZ work rights are essential
