This Client side organisation are a leading specialist in investment and asset management, investing in Infrastructure throughout the public and private sectors. They invest wisely in operational excellence, pursuing unique ideas, ethical and sustainable delivery and identifying and understanding emerging trends in Infrastructure to deliver outstanding results for their clients.

The role is suited to a Project Administrator or Assistant Project Manager, experienced in construction or property, who is both results orientated and an autonomous worker. This team are efficient, focused individuals who take their work and careers seriously. They work with high energy and passion on every project in which they deliver. 

This ongoing role will consist of assisting with delivering across Social Infrastructure, responsible for project administration, contract admin, project reporting and support, and risk management across the project lifecycle. 

Responsibilities:
  • Support in acting as a point of contact for the management of the project with the client and actively manage key relationships 
  • Assist with maintaining risk management policy and reporting 
  • Coordinate communications and stakeholder management activities
  • Assist with ensuring design specifications are being met during the construction process
  • Monitor compliance with consents, project budgets and project documents alongside a team
  • Assist with monitoring and reporting against the implemented Health and Safety plan 
  • Be involved in project review meetings, dealing with contractors work progress, schedule reviews and construction coordination 
  • Involvement in the coordination of submitting monthly reports and invoicing to the client 
  • Sit in on monthly performance meetings with the client and sub contractors 
Ideal background of the successful candidate:
  • Construction relevant degree or qualification
  • An understanding of the NZ construction industry
  • 1-2+ years experience in project administration/management 
  • NZ consultancy or client side previous experience 
  • An understanding and knowledge of building codes and compliance 
  • Strong project and contract administration skills
  • Clear and articulate communication
  • Attention to detail and display a sense of urgency
