A leading project management and advisory consultancy is expanding its presence in New Zealand and seeking a senior leader to help shape the next phase of growth. As growth continues, they are looking for a senior property sector professional to take a pivotal role in leading projects and driving business development.

About the Role: 
This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded leader with strong strategic acumen and a proven ability to grow new business. You will lead the development of a property sub-sector strategy that aligns with the firm’s broader New Zealand growth plan, while also expanding the client base and delivering high-impact projects. 

With an integrated project delivery model and a high-performing team behind you, you’ll have the autonomy to build out a sub-sector offering while leading high-value projects from inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Identify and drive new business opportunities and cultivate strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Develop and implement sector-specific growth strategies.
  • Oversee the successful development and delivery of complex projects and programmes.
  • Lead all phases of project delivery — including planning, design, procurement, and construction oversight.
  • Provide expert advice across risk mitigation, stakeholder engagement, commercial performance and quality assurance.
  • Lead and mentor project teams with a strong focus on commercial outcomes, timeliness and quality.
About You: 
You are a driven, strategic leader with a strong track record of delivering commercial property projects and developing business within consultancy or client-side environments. You bring:
  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects across a variety of asset classes;
  • Strong industry networks and trusted relationships across clients, consultants and contractors;
  • Sharp commercial acumen and sound decision-making across all stages of delivery;
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills;
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in project management, construction, engineering or a related field;
  • And a genuine passion for excellence, innovation and creating client value.
