Pallas Capital is one of Australia’s leading real estate debt and equity investment managers. The business was established in 2016 as a direct response to the lack of CRE debt availability for borrower’s requiring debt solutions up to $50 million+. They have successfully invested $5.8 billion since inception.
Pallas Capital has identified a significant gap in New Zealand’s non-bank lending landscape and, as of last year, opened a New Zealand office with an initial focus on lending capital in the sub $20 million space across New Zealand, and in time this mandate is expected to grow to include larger loans and the full suite of products Pallas offers in Australia such as mezzanine debt and preferred equity.
The Opportunity:
We are partnering with Pallas Capital to identify a Credit Analyst to join the team based in Auckland. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the talented Credit team in NZ and will be supported by an established Australian business and institutional grade capital.
The Role:
The purpose of role is to work with the Credit team to assess a variety of lending opportunities across investment, pre-development, construction, and vacant land. Being commercially minded, this role requires a holistic approach to assessing opportunities within Pallas Capital’s risk appetite, to ensure they meet the expectations of their investors. You will also assist in the preparation of portfolio reporting, market research and trend analysis to internal and external stakeholders alike.
Working within a team of talented analysts, you will report in to and work closely with the head of Credit for the NZ business, as well as crossing over with the established Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane based team who provide both executive and technical support to the NZ business.

About You:
To be considered a strong candidate for this role you will be able to demonstrate the following;
- Tertiary qualified in finance, business or a property related discipline
- 2-3yrs + experience in property and/or construction lending with either a Bank or non-bank lender
- Advanced financial modelling and report writing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A natural affinity for relationship building
