Job description

A forward-thinking, design-led consultancy that’s thriving off the back of strong client relationships, steady growth, and a great reputation in the land development space is excited to looking for an Intermediate to Senior Civil Engineer to join their team.

If you want to play a hands-on role across a variety of private development projects, and you value flexibility, autonomy, and team culture just as much as technical excellence, then this is the opportunity you've been looking for.

About the Role

You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team delivering a range of residential land development projects — from boutique infill developments to larger master-planned communities. The work spans concept design through to construction supervision and final titles, giving you full project exposure and the chance to build real ownership.
Typical responsibilities include:
  • Civil design (earthworks, drainage, roading, and services)
  • Engineering plan approvals and coordination with councils
  • Site supervision and construction monitoring
  • Contract administration (NZS 3910)
  • Client and stakeholder coordination
It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys solving problems, seeing the results of their work in the real world, and being part of a tight, supportive team.

What You'll Need
  • 3+ years of experience in land development or civil engineering
  • Working knowledge of NZ design standards and consenting processes
  • Proficiency in 12D and/or AutoCAD
  • Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
  • A collaborative mindset and positive attitude
What’s on Offer
  • Competitive salary + vehicle
  • Flexible work environment and realistic hours
  • Mentorship from experienced senior engineers
  • Genuine project ownership
  • A team-first culture that values contribution and celebrates success
If you’re a civil engineer looking for a role with more autonomy, greater variety, and the opportunity to work with a group of professionals who genuinely enjoy what they do — I’d love to hear from you.
