Installation Manager

Job description

About the Company:

Vitrocsa is internationally recognised as the creator of the world's original minimalist window system. Precision-engineered in Switzerland over 30 years ago, the brand has become synonymous with architectural innovation, delivering some of the slimmest and most sophisticated glazing systems available anywhere in the world.

Designed to remove visual barriers between inside and out, Vitrocsa systems allow for expansive glass panels with minimal framing, enabling entire walls to slide, pivot or disappear seamlessly into the architecture of a building. The result is breathtaking spaces defined by light, openness and uninterrupted views.

In New Zealand, Vitrocsa has built a strong reputation working alongside leading architects, builders and developers on high-end residential and architecturally ambitious projects. Every system is custom designed, engineered and installed with absolute precision, making Vitrocsa installations as much about craftsmanship and execution as they are about the product itself.

From luxury coastal homes to complex architectural builds, the team works on some of the most design-led and technically demanding projects in the country.

About the Role:

Vitrocsa New Zealand is seeking an Installation Manager to lead and elevate the installations department.

This role is responsible for the successful planning, coordination and delivery of Vitrocsa installations across Auckland and surrounding regions (and occasionally nationwide), ensuring every project meets the company's exceptional standards of quality, safety and performance.

You will act as the on-site representative of the brand, working closely with architects, builders, project managers and internal teams to ensure installations are executed with precision.

The role combines technical oversight, leadership and operational management. You will set up projects for success early, provide leadership to installation teams, identify risks before they arise, and ensure each installation runs smoothly from planning through to completion.

The Auckland warehouse and office are in Wiri, with projects taking place nationwide. This is a traveling role, with most jobs in Auckland and the northern regions. There will be occasional travel to Christchurch, where the New Zealand head office is based, as well to other South Island job sites.

Key responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate and oversee the installation across multiple projects
  • Conduct site measures and ensure projects are properly prepared before installation begins
  • Interpret architectural drawings and translate them into practical installations instructions
  • Act as a key interface with builders, architects and project teams
  • Identify potential risks early and implement solutions proactively
  • Lead, mentor and manage the Auckland installation team, providing clear direction and performance expectations
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and project partners and provide progress updates ensuring clear communication at all times
  • Foster a culture of accountability, quality and craftsmanship, while driving continuous improvement
The Expertise

Vitrocsa is looking for someone who brings strong leadership capability combined with hands-on technical knowledge and pride in delivering exceptional work.

You will likely come from a carpentry, joinery, façade or construction background, and have progressed into a supervisory or foreman-style leadership role where you have taken ownership of projects, coordinated teams and ensured work is delivered to a high standard.

Most importantly, you will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to precision, recognising that quality of delivery is critical when working with premium architectural products and bespoke installations.

You will also be able to demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and a proactive mindset with the ability to identify and mitigate risks early. Experience working in either commercial or high-end residential construction environments will be valuable, particularly where quality, accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

Essential details also include:
  • Full Class 1 driver's licence
  • Ability to travel regularly to installation sites across Auckland and occasionally further across New Zealand, sometimes at short notice
  • Demonstrated experience directing crane operations and coordinating lifting activities safely on site
Desirable:
  • Experience operating gantry cranes
  • Experience in glass handling or glazing-related installations
  • Forklift licence
Why join Vitrocsa?
  • Work with a globally recognised premium architectural brand
  • Be involved in some of New Zealand's most impressive architectural homes
  • Lead a specialised installation team and help to shape the Auckland division
  • Strong company culture built around quality, craftsmanship and accountability
  • Leadership role with genuine scope and influence
If you are someone who takes pride in precision, leadership and delivering exceptional outcomes, this is an opportunity to represent a world-class architectural product in the New Zealand market.
