Assemble Recruitment are partnered with a well-respected civil consultancy based in Christchurch looking for an Intermediate – Senior Civil Engineer to join their team.
This role will primarily be focused on land development projects. Our client has a strong pipeline in place with projects in both public and private developments.

Key Responsibilities
- Design: Working alongside other engineers as well as other professionals including planners, surveyors, architects, geotechnical engineers, ecologists, etc. to formulate concepts for the planning process and detailed design for infrastructure including stormwater, water supply, roading, wastewater and earthworks to set standards and then approval.
- Contract Administration: Compilation of contracts, specifications, schedules, and tender documents. Tendering appraisals and recommendations to Client. Processing claims, etc.
- Site Observation: Weekly site meetings with client, contractors, councils and occasionally ECan. This will involve recording the progress of works, addressing site queries, observing site testing and compilation of a full site record of QA.
- Post Construction: Processing QA for 224c certifications, observation of the maintenance periods and final claims/retentions.
- 3 years of NZ civil engineering experience particularly in land development or infrastructure projects.
- Strong design skills using 12D and/ or Civil 3D.
- A civil engineering degree
