Job description
Quantity Surveyor
Interior Fitouts
Join a New Zealand owned construction team delivering some of Auckland’s most trusted projects. This is a role where your QS skills will make a clear impact across a broad mix of projects, including fitouts and upgrades, new builds, and complex refurbishments. If you enjoy a variety of projects and thrive in a busy environment, this is an excellent opportunity for you!
The business has grown from a small specialist team into an established construction company with a portfolio that spans boutique retail, award-winning commercial interiors, industrial upgrades, and large-scale seismic strengthening. They are known for being disciplined, reliable, and easy to work with, and they take pride in building long-term client relationships by delivering projects in the right way. Directors stay hands-on, systems are proven, and the culture is collaborative and supportive.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the full range of responsibilities. This includes estimating, procurement, reporting, variations, and value control. You will work closely with Project Managers, Site teams, and clients to keep budgets accurate and projects moving forward. This is not just about numbers on a spreadsheet; it is about being part of a team that delivers spaces people are proud to use.
What you will need:
• 5+ years of QS experience, ideally in fitout or commercial construction
• Solid knowledge of cost planning, procurement, and reporting
• Confidence working with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
• A proactive, detail-focused mindset and the ability to stay calm under pressure
In return, you will join a respected company with a reputation for delivering client objectives. You will be entrusted with responsibility, supported by experienced leaders, and allowed to grow as the business expands into a top senior position. The work is challenging and rewarding, and each project will provide you with something to be proud of.
If you are ready to take the next step in your career and want to be part of a team that sets high standards and delivers consistently, we would like to hear from you.
