The role is suited to an Assistant or Intermediate Project Manager, experienced in construction, who is both results orientated and an autonomous worker. This role will consist of delivering across social infrastructure, responsible for stakeholder/client management, risk mitigation, design management, reporting and support across the entire project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
- Act as a point of contact for the management of the project with the client and actively manage key relationships
- Develop and maintain risk management policy and reporting
- Coordinate communications and stakeholder management activities
- Ensure design specifications are being met during the construction process
- Monitor compliance with consents, project budgets and project documents
- Monitor and report against the implemented Health and Safety plan
- Conduct project review meetings, dealing with contractors work progress, schedule reviews and construction coordination
- Coordinate the submission of monthly reports and invoicing to the client
- Chair monthly performance meetings with the client and sub contractors
Ideal background of the successful candidate:
- Construction relevant degree or qualification
- An understanding of the NZ construction industry
- Project Manager 3+ years experience
- NZ consultancy or client side previous experience
- A strong understanding and knowledge of building codes and compliance
- Able to demonstrate project delivery in more than one sector
- Clear and articulate communication with ability to express expectations as well as provide regular constructive feedback
- Ability to set, observe and re-evaluate project priorities frequently
- Attention to detail and display a sense of urgency
