Due to strong demand for their services and expertise, this consultancy is excited to be recruiting for an Intermediate Water/Wastewater Treatment Process Engineer to join their dynamic team.

In this role, you will utilise your expertise in water and wastewater treatment processes to contribute to the design, optimization, and delivery of sustainable solutions.

Working across diverse sectors including Land Development, Commercial/Industrial, 3 Waters, Institutional, Bicultural, and Environment, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while meeting client objectives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and optimize water and wastewater treatment processes, including biological treatment systems such as activated sludge and membrane bioreactors (MBR).
  • Implement advanced treatment technologies, including media filtration, chlorination, and fluoridation, to ensure water quality compliance.
  • Conduct process simulations, modelling, and feasibility studies to evaluate system performance and propose enhancements.
  • Prepare detailed engineering calculations, technical reports, and specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with our multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technicians throughout project phases.
  • Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and operation of treatment facilities.
  • Perform troubleshooting and optimization to maximize plant efficiency and reliability.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in water and wastewater treatment.
Prerequisites:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment process design and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with biological treatment systems (e.g., activated sludge, MBR) and water treatment processes (media filtration, chlorination, fluoridation).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as EPA regulations, state water quality standards, and industry standards related to water and wastewater treatment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
