Assemble are proud to partner with a leading Private Property & Investment Business in their search for a Technical Facilities Manager to oversee a national portfolio comprising hotel, retail, and commercial assets. 

This is a key role supporting the Group Technical Services Director, responsible for managing the engineering, project management, and business services functions across a diverse portfolio. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring each asset operates efficiently, remains compliant, and achieves the highest standards of technical performance.
 
Key Objective
 
To support the Group Technical Services Director in overseeing the operational performance, technical integrity, and project delivery across a diverse, high-performing property portfolio.
Responsibilities Include
  • Coordinate and manage new and existing projects, ensuring timely delivery and cost control
  • Develop and monitor project timelines, budgets, and internal cost reports
  • Attend site meetings and project briefs, providing clear direction and follow-up
  • Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers, ensuring all work meets compliance, safety, and quality expectations
  • Prepare and monitor documentation for building consent and compliance with Building Act regulations
  • Oversee and report on building compliance, including BWoF and health and safety obligations
  • Provide technical guidance and support on a wide range of property and engineering issues
  • Contribute to process improvement, efficiency, and best practice across the Group Technical Services function
Role Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, or property
  • Proven experience in technical facilities management, engineering, or project delivery across commercial, retail, or hotel environments
  • Strong financial and project management capability
  • Excellent stakeholder and contractor management skills
  • Sound understanding of building compliance, health and safety, and New Zealand building regulations
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
