Job description

Southpark Group, based in Auckland, is a vertically integrated Property business strategically positioned to capitalise on emerging opportunities across various segments of the property industry.

They have a rich history in property acquisition, land development, design, construction and leaseback arrangements, and more recently, residential development.

Due to an increase in pipeline, Southpark are seeking an experienced and dedicated Utilities Manager to oversee the efficient and compliant delivery of utilities services, including electrical, water, gas, fibre, wastewater, and stormwater. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely documentation, maintain excellent service standards, and manage operational and financial records with precision.

Key responsibilities:
  • Oversee supplier and customer accounts, ensuring accurate billing and adherence to supply contracts.
  • Manage new utility connections and maintain current records.
  • Plan and manage new installations, providing quarterly reports to the team.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors and authorities.
  • Oversee repair and maintenance contractors, conducting monthly utility checks.
  • Negotiate maintenance and electrical supply contracts.
  • Comply with company health and safety policies.
  • Manage risk and report and address incidents and potential hazards.
  • Ensure all sites meet health and safety, building act and fire regulations.
Skills and experience:
  • Trade certificate or University Degree in Electrical services.
  • Proven experience within the NZ construction and property building services.
  • The ability to handle confidential material sensitivity.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Effective organisational, multi-tasking and prioritising abilities.
  • Meet customer expectations, utilise feedback for service improvement and build effective relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
