The role:
They are currently seeking an intermediate to senior-level Project Engineer to join their Hawke's Bay team, which is delivering a range of significant earthworks projects.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience and confidence in managing client and subcontractor relationships, reviewing engineering plans, contributing to technical aspects of construction, overseeing project financials, and ensuring effective health, safety, and environmental management.

Duties:
- Manage technical aspects of projects from start to finish
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Review and interpret drawings and specifications
- Track project progress, budgets, and timelines
- Assist with procurement and subcontractor management
- Identify and resolve technical issues and risks
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation
- Provide on-site technical support as needed
- Contribute to process and quality improvements
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience working on projects centered around earthworks and civil structures
- Strong attention to detail and proven relationship-building skills
- Relationship and solution focused attitude
- NZ work rights are essential
