Client side Site Supervisor/Site Manager opportunities for a large commercial/mixed use developer. This property development company has reputable projects all across Auckland consisting of high spec and slick design across high-rise construction. 

With their bold and comprehensive approach, this business is going from strength to strength and is not short of only project pipeline, but financial backing, to sail through the inevitable choppy waters of construction.

This is a fascinating role for the fact it offers guaranteed project and job security, product accountability and control of all aspects of the development and construction process. 

You will assist in delivering projects on time and to a high standard, meeting design specifications, health and safety requirements and managing costs effectively. This role will challenge both the pace in which you work at, and the competing priorities on a daily basis to ensure a rewarding outcome both internally and for the wider community. 

Key responsibilities will include: 
  • Managing and undertaking site establishment 
  • Set up and manage weekly construction programmes and deliver site supervision to or ahead of schedule 
  • Manage and deliver acquisitions of materials and manage subcontractors
  • Implement project planning, H&S responsibilities and QA
  • Manage a team of foreman ensuring completion of daily tasks 
  • Schedule and prioritise construction sequences with foreman to monitor programme targets 
  • Review construction drawings and documentation for constructability 
  • Prompt reporting and updates to the Project Manager 
  • Complying with all HSE legislation, regulations and codes of practice 
Experience and skills required: 
  • Previous site management experience with a commercial contractor/developer 
  • Construction related certificate or qualification 
  • The ability to motivate, drive and direct sub-contract labour 
  • Experience across large sites and high-rise construction 
  • Skilled in OH&S and industrial relations
  • Excellent organisational and operational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with often demanding timeframes 
  • A problem solver and able to manage conflict effectively 

This is an exciting opportunity for either a Foreman who has led teams and is ready for the step up, or a proven successful Site Manager who would like to test their capabilities on large and well managed sites to gain some impressive experience. Salary/hourly rate will be commensurate of your experience, given the level the successful candidates will start at. Overtime could be included and you will run through their comprehensive training programme.
