We are partnered with a South Island owned and operated civil contractor looking for a Site Engineer to be based in their Central Otago branch. They have a strong pipeline in place with projects in both private developments and local councils.

The role will cover:
- Large scale earthworks, 3 waters, drainage, roading, etc.
- Oversee & manage daily onsite activities.
- Liaise with the contracts manager on programming.
- Interpret plans to ensure accuracy & quality.
- Ensure all safety requirements are met, prestart risk assessments, toolbox discussions, PPE equipment.
- Management of subcontractors & other parties.
- Plan and schedule work procedures to ensure projects are undertaken efficiently and in a cost-effective manner.
- Project quality assurance documentation and project reports.
- Exposure to civil construction projects.
- Experience dealing with subcontractors, key suppliers, and other parties.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Current driver’s license.
