As such C3 are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Finance Manager to help build and lead an effective financial reporting function and focus on enhancing their long-term strategic growth plans based in Auckland.
  
The role will require you to wear many hats; financial control, management reporting, financial and investment analysis, as well as staff management as they continue to grow. This is a unique opportunity that will give you broad exposure to an exciting business which covers, construction, development, asset management and investment.
  
The Role
  
The key responsibilities in the role may include but not be limited to the following:
  • Help set up and manage the financial function across all accounting disciplines, ensuring targets are met and exceeded where possible.
  • Developing a consolidated reporting platform to facilitate regular monthly (and other periodic) financial reporting to assess budget performance, cash flows and operational performance.
  • Provide data and insights to support strategic decision making, while challenging operational procedures and recommending improvements.
  • Assist with analysis of future investments.
  • Establish and ensure a robust monthly reporting cycle, preparing quarterly management reports for the senior leadership team.
  • Prepare, review, and distribute all budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports.
  • Ensure all Bank, Tax and Insurance accountabilities are completed and managed effectively.
  • Proactively recommend actions to improve financial systems, policies, and processes.
  • Manage and maintain compliance programme across all business units and investment vehicles including FMCA / AML.
  • Manage all financial functions of property funds including capital raising, distributions, tax.
  • Provide specialist property financial analysis including discounted cashflow analysis, forecasting, valuation.  
The successful candidate will have considerable financial management experience and be looking for a new challenge in an exciting and growing business and for a role that has huge potential upside.  
  
Key Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in Commerce or Finance (Essential)
  • CA/CPA or MBA qualification (Desired)
  • A background in Big 4 audit would be an advantage.
  • Experience in a senior finance role, within the property or construction sector is an advantage.
  • Experience with NZ taxation and financial reporting compliance requirements.
  • Microsoft software suite experience, with strong excel modelling skills, experience with OPM, Xero and MRI would be beneficial.
  • Commercially aware with a strategic focus, decisive, enthusiastic and a decision maker.
  • Great interpersonal skills across stakeholder levels, with excellent numerical, written, and oral communication.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Strong Planning / Forecasting process management
  • High attention to detail
