As a Senior Estimator, you will join this dynamic team to lead and support various infrastructure Quantity Surveying services including estimating, planning, cost management and cost monitoring. You will engage in accurate timely financial reporting whilst having sound financial commercial acumen with a key focus on proactively maximising value for key clients.

The role:
As a Senior Estimator, you will join this dynamic team to lead and support various infrastructure Quantity Surveying services including estimating, planning, cost management and cost monitoring. You will engage in accurate timely financial reporting whilst having sound financial commercial acumen with a key focus on proactively maximising value for key clients.
- Industry Experience: Strong understanding of asset components and hands-on experience.
- Cost Estimation: Ability to completing cost estimates from first principles using your site experience.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with industry estimating packages (preferably CCS Candy).
- Analytical Skills: Strong commercial, numerical, and analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Cost Management: Actively manage project costs to ensure adherence to budgets.
- Contract Review: Analyse contract terms, provide updated cost estimates for variations to the contract.
- Performance Reporting: Provide updates on project performance to stakeholders.
- Tender Documentation: Prepare and submit tender documents, including priced and non-priced attributes.
- Research: Conduct research on industry trends, market conditions, and upcoming tenders.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Negotiation: High-level negotiation and analytical skills.
- Time Management: Proven ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Tendering Environment: Experience in structured tendering processes.
- Mentorship: Ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
- Experience: 7+ years of project experience in New Zealand
- Education: Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
- Cost Estimation: Extensive experience in cost estimating (First principles, Candy) and Cost X.
- Track Record: Proven success in winning and managing major projects.
