THE COMPANY

This multi – disciplinary engineering consultancy has won employer of the year for three years in a row and is proud to boast a 30 strong team of Civil and Structural Engineers with 15 nationalities represented amongst the headcount.
  
With a particular focus on structural, water, land development and temporary works this business still has engineers that work on civil and structural projects. THE ROLE

This role has a real focus on public water infrastructure for key players in the Three Waters space and the successful candidate will be expected to provide:
  
  • Urgent operational support, ad hoc responsive problem solving and design guidance (lots of site presence, burst mains, slip repairs, etc.).  
  • Stormwater separations, upgrades, development projects etc for Healthy Waters.
  • Water and Wastewater projects e.g., pipeline renewals, Water Treatment Plants (new and upgrades), pump stations, diversions, inspections, etc.


SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will have:
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage expectations and client relationships.
  • Have pragmatic and logical problem-solving and decision-making ability.
  • Be technically solid and independent with a clear understanding of design principles.
  • Have the ability and personality to lead a team and mentor more junior engineers, to be supportive and positive.
  • Uphold a high standard of quality and dependability.
  
And on a day-to-day basis you will be expected to:
  • Ensure successful delivery of their projects including overseeing engineers and drafts people where appropriate.
  • Manage client relationships including scoping, quoting, and maintaining open communication.
  • Prepare designs, undertake inspections, and respond to urgent site queries where needed.
  • Support business development through engaging in professional development sessions and developing client relationships.
