Key responsibilities will include:
- Contract administration.
- Tendering of sub-trades and materials.
- Measuring and take-offs.
- Procurement of subcontractor and supplier agreements.
- Cost control, budget monitoring and reporting.
- Progress claims variations and payments.
- Processing, negotiation and agreement of final accounts.
- Managing relationships with project manager, clients, architects and other key stakeholders
- Working to keep the project on time and within the agreed budget.
- Working with our Quality Surveyor team to ensure construction costs and production are managed as efficiently as possible.
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, standards and building codes.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience
- Professional or trade qualification in Quantity Surveying
- A strong track record in the NZ market
- Proficient in Microsoft word, Excel and preferably Microsoft project
- Sound knowledge of the residential construction industry
- Excellent numeracy, verbal and writing skills
- Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work in a team and negotiate positive outcomes
