Quantity Surveyor

Assemble Recruitment has a career building opportunity for an Intermediate to senior level Quantity Surveyor to join a multi-national contractor with vast capabilities across the transport infrastructure space.

An ideal candidate would have circa five years’ experience pricing and managing financials on projects up to $40-50 million NZD, preferably with exposure civils, formwork, pavements and structures.

Duties:

• Cost Estimation & Budgeting
• Tendering & Procurement
• Contract Administration
• Progress Claims & Valuations
• Cost Control & Reporting
• Risk Management
• Final Accounts & Close-Out
• Stakeholder Liaison

Qualifications, skills and experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying
• Previous experience working on infrastructure projects for private and/or public sector clients
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to produce high quality reports
• A sound understanding of the NZ infrastructure industry with 4-5 post graduate years’ experience
• Some exposure to negotiations and client relationship building accompanied with a sound understanding of contract management
• Able to demonstrate flexibility and resilience in dealing with complex issues, and deploy sound problem-solving methodology
