A boutique NZ owned property advisory business that provides advice and guidance to property developers from site acquisition, funding through delivery is looking to hire QS Manager to run the day to day aspects of the business. 

The business is focused on providing an end-to-end service with developers to deliver good outcomes on projects through adding value and making sure deliverables are on point. 

Reporting to the Director the QS Team Leader will drive the delivery of projects from a cost and commercial management perspective as well as manage and mentor the existing team.

Overview of Responsibilities: 
  • Technically lead the quantity surveying team in the areas of cost planning, procurement, post contract and bank funding.
  • Drive business development for the team with support from the Director.
  • Manage team member resourcing for optimal utilisation across projects.
  • Be accountable for the performance of the team and quality of outputs.
  • Proposal preparation, job delivery, work planning and financial management tasks.
  • Manage relationships with development partners, Consultants, and contractors.
To be considered for this fantastic opportunity the ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor either from a construction or PQS environment.

You will also have:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification majoring preferably in quantity surveying/construction economics.
  • Experience in commercial and/or residential cost management.
  • MRICS or NZIQS qualified would be advantageous.
  • Capable of developing business and representing the consultancy across the market.
  • Significant forecasting, budgeting and financial planning experience.
  • The ability to manage and mentor other team members.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to produce high quality reports.
