The purpose of the Project Manager - Services is to ensure that projects are led effectively, across all stages, to achieve the benefits expected of the project, and the requirements of the brief, within cost and time targets.
Position objectives as follows: 

  • Responsible for ensuring the design, procurement, and installation of building services on site are completed according to project cost, quality, programme, and safety objectives while also meeting specification and compliance requirements
  • Services installations are managed, across all stages, to achieve the outcomes expected of the project whilst ensuring design, cost, time, HSE is maintained
  • Services and equipment installations are carefully planned and ensure internal company delivery methodologies are applied
  • Services inputs relating to project reporting deadlines are met
  • Project Sponsor relationships are positive and effective
  • Providing necessary inputs towards a clearly defined procurement strategy
  • Risk and opportunity inputs within the programmed services installations are actively managed, synergies are maximised and related project interfaces managed
  • Identify 'best practice', buildability and innovative construction solutions and incorporate these into the project where feasible/appropriate
  • Contribute to monthly reports and attend PCG meetings as required
  • Ensure works are sequenced to comply with design, specifications, contract, standards and internal policies 

In order to be successful in this role, you will likely have the following skills and attributes:
  • Tertiary level professional qualification in Engineering or Management
  • Membership of an appropriate professional institution 
  • 10 years+ experience in senior client side or main contractor project leadership roles in large-scale and complex commercial environments
  • Extensive experience across the full lifecycle of project(s), from inception to completion
  • Previous success leading design activity and commercial management
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of project delivery supply chains
  • Proven leader of people with the ability to work with professional, technical and trades staff and contractors
  • Ability to both think and act strategically in a changing and complex environment
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive in finding and implementing practical solutions to technical problems
