As a business that continues to grow, they are now looking for a Project Manager to join their dynamic team.
Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead their on-site project teams in delivering horizontal infrastructure projects.
Reporting to the Directors and General Manager, you will be onboarded to manage various subdivision and drainage projects requiring experience across Quality Control, Resource Management, Claim Preparation, and Health and Safety Management.
Within 6-12 months, you will shift to managing a single large project, likely in the infrastructure sector, requiring high-level quality control and contract management. You will be liaising with local government bodies and high-end private developers, along with consultant and sub contractor teams. In this role, you will also leverage your commercial acumen to contribute at a strategic level, assisting in the development and implementation of streamlined processes.

Key Responsibilities, As a Project Manager, you will:
- Lead and mentor your team, providing guidance and performance management.
- Ensure effective communication building and maintaining relationships with clients.
- Oversee project budgets, resource allocation, and progress reporting.
- Maintain high standards in documentation and daily job start processes.
- Collaborate with the Project Analyst on cost control reporting.
- Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and manage workplace hazards
- Financial and commercial acumen, including tendering and contract administration.
- Effective verbal and written communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong organisational skills for managing multiple projects and ensuring high-quality results.
- Proficiency in weekly/monthly planning tools and decision-making skills to adapt to changing project requirements.
Skills and Experience:
- Relevant tertiary degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience managing complex civil construction projects
- Familiarity with financial principles and practices, including budgets.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
- Proficiency in IT, particularly Excel and Microsoft Projects.
