Job description

A Project Coordinator role is available for a large-scale, complex and highly technical social infrastructure project, as the delivery team builds out their capabilities and is looking for support at a key phase of the development.

This role will see you building strong business relationships with multiple project disciplines, including investors, consultants, D&C and AM/FM contractors. The successful candidate will be employed directly with the client for the duration of the construction to handover phase, assisting with coordinating project deliverables, facilitating collaboration and communication between parties, and monitoring progress and health and safety practices on site.

Key responsibilities:
  • Supporting the Project Managers by coordinating project deliverables in conjunction with the Client, Sub-contractors and advisors
  • Facilitating good collaboration and coordination between parties in line with the project charter
  • Supporting the Project Managers with implementation and compliance in line with the Project Agreement, including project specific policies and procedures
  • Supporting the Project Managers to ensure procedures with the D&C Sub-Contractor are implemented and monitored
  • Co-ordinating inputs and monitoring progress against the management plans such as quality, environment and health & safety 
  • Assist with maintaining, managing and documenting all project reports and statements 
  • Keep Project Managers informed of project progress and any changes
  • Attending and taking minutes as necessary at project meetings
  • Contributing to the identification and co-ordination of controls to manage key project issues and risks
  • Monitor and report against the QA and H&S management plans

Experience and skills required: 

  • Appropriate professional qualification in Construction, Architecture or Engineering
  • Experience of project coordination in the site delivery stage of construction projects 
  • High attention to detail with strong inter-personal and communication skills 
  • Technical understanding of design and construction process
  • Able to build effective working relationships with colleagues, the client, sub-contractors and advisors 
  • Passionate, eager to learn and up for a challenge
  • A good problem solver, with a solutions orientated approach 
  • Committed to the longevity of the project 
  • 2+ years' relevant experience
