Job description

The Company
This is a well-established Project Management and Advisory consultancy based in Auckland. They act as client-side Project Managers, leading building projects from early planning and design through to construction and handover.
The business works across a wide range of sectors including commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, defence and specialist assets. They are known for being practical, organised and collaborative, with a strong reputation for delivering complex projects well.
The team is tight-knit and supportive, with a genuine focus on developing their people and building long-term careers.

The Role
This opportunity suits an Intermediate Project Manager who is already delivering their own projects and is ready to step up.
You’ll manage a portfolio of projects end-to-end, taking responsibility for programme, budget, consultant coordination and contract administration. You’ll be the main point of contact for clients on your projects, while also working closely with experienced Project Directors who provide guidance and support.
Projects vary in size and complexity and span multiple sectors, giving you exposure to different asset classes and delivery models. This role offers real autonomy, strong mentorship, and a clear pathway toward a Senior Project Manager position.

What you’ll bring:
  • A relevant construction qualification (e.g. Building Science, Engineering, Architecture or similar)
  • Proven experience delivering NZ building projects end-to-end in a consultancy or client-side environment
  • Confidence running client and consultant meetings with clear, professional communication
  • Working knowledge of NZS3910 contract administration
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong organisational skills
  • The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants and contractors
  • A genuine desire to grow, learn and contribute to a high-performing team
Why join?
You’ll be joining a consultancy that genuinely backs its people. Expect a supportive team environment, exposure to interesting and meaningful projects, and a clear pathway for career development. This is a role where your contribution will be recognised, and your progression actively supported.
