This Project Management role is with a privately-owned, nationwide consultancy known for delivering high-quality, end-to-end projects across New Zealand. The business works across a diverse range of sectors including commercial, education, public sector, industrial, aged care, and health, as well as advisory services. They are respected for repeat client work and their ability to provide practical, strategic solutions for complex projects.
In this role, you will be challenged on interesting and varied projects while enjoying the autonomy to apply your own approach to project delivery. You’ll benefit from mentorship and collaboration with Senior Project Managers and Project Directors, while also having the freedom to take ownership of responsibilities and identify opportunities to add value.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Leading your own projects and collaborating with Senior PMs/Project Directors on a healthy pipeline of work
  • Creating and executing project plans and budgets
  • Overseeing design to ensure specifications are met during construction
  • Managing cost projections and making informed decisions
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed scope
What you bring to the table:
  • Construction-related degree or qualification
  • 4+ years of experience in the NZ construction industry ideally within a consultancy or on the client-side
  • Demonstrated project delivery experience in one or more construction sectors
  • Clear, articulate communication with the ability to express expectations effectively
  • Attendance at design meetings to support coordination and decision-making
  • Ability to set, observe and re-evaluate project priorities regularly
  • A proactive forward planner who takes initiative
  • Monitoring and reporting against the implemented health and safety plan
