This civil contractor has a very strong pipeline for 2026 and is looking for a Project Engineer or Project Manager to step up and lead their major projects in Central Otago. These projects will be primarily across private land development.
  
This is a newly established role and is a chance to really make the role your own. There is plenty of room for growth and development opportunities, with this being one of their key values they stand by.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, oversee and supervise civil works on site.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality assurance.
  • Monitor and report on financials.
  • Interpret plans to ensure accuracy & quality.
  • Ensure all safety requirements are met, prestart risk assessments, toolbox discussions, PPE equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, NZ 3910, and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation.
The Ideal Candidate
  • History of delivering projects to meet time, quality, and budget targets, as well as customer expectations.
  • Ability to manage, motivate, and relate to people at all levels.
  • Experience managing civil projects.
  • Self-starter who is both organised and disciplined.
