They are highly recognised for their continued successful delivery of high-profile projects across NZ and early engagement and advisory, with a multitude of Tier One clients, particularly across commercial, infrastructure, hotels, accommodation, public sector and more. 
 

About your new role: 

As a Senior lead you will work closely with the local team, Auckland Directors, and client(s). You will thrive in an ambitious, highly astute and commercial environment with a wider team who combines talent and relationships to deliver world class projects and enjoys the benefits of working amongst industry-leading professionals. 

This career move will offer scope to lead out this sector/service line, while also taking a holistic approach to delivering notable local projects, but also offering support for the wider Waikato and Bay of Plenty region. You will do this within an established business which offers autonomy, challenge, embedded relationships, internal collaboration and encouragement to control projects end to end. A career role where your efforts will be recognised and influential to the wider infrastructure development of the Bay of Plenty. 

As Project Director, you will be responsible for delivering end to end management services throughout all stages of the project including early engagement: 
  • This will consist of a varied portfolio including due-diligence and advisory, programme management, risk mitigation and project and design management. Having experience across the full construction sector is going to be of immense value in this role due to the nature of the projects.
  • Strategic planning of Tauranga projects including being a lead for the region 
  • Strategic and technical input into the success of projects including trouble shooting and risk mitigation 
  • Lead and effectively delegate project responsibilities to other team members 
  • Apply critical thinking and advice to clients and colleagues around project framework and procurement 
  • Manage internal and external teams effectively 
  • Deliver clear and concise progress updates to all stakeholders, and at an executive level 
  • Training and development of new staff 
  • Maintain and grow existing client relationships, including procuring new ones

  • Relevant qualification - civil engineering, construction management, or similar is preferred
