On offer is a unique opportunity for a junior engineer/low level intermediate to join and established team of Civil Engineering General Practitioners that take the learning and development of their junior colleagues seriously. As well as the opportunity to work on complex and varied projects the successful candidate will receive a market rate salary with a bonus component upon meeting agreed KPI’s.
  
Responsibilities:

This all-encompassing role will give you great exposure to the broad and varied elements of land development including but not limited to site monitoring, general civil design, resource consent preparation and report writing.
  
The successful candidate will be responsible for:  
  • Plans, designs, and directing civil engineering projects.
  • Analysing reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects.
  • Prepares reports, specifications, calculations, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, construction project documents, and designs for projects.
  • Calculating costs and determining the feasibility of projects based on analysis of collected data while applying engineering knowledge and techniques.
  • Construction and site monitoring.
  • Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents. Civil3D or 12D.
  • Liaise with statutory authorities, contractors, and other parties.
Requirements:
  
  • Bachelor of Engineering - Civil (or equivalent)
  • 2 + years of New Zealand experience
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D/12D – 12D would be preferential
  • Local Land development and 3 waters experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
