As they continue to expand their portfolio of commercial property funds and investment opportunities, Erskine & Owen are seeking an experienced and highly connected Investor Relations Manager to lead equity‑raising activities and investor engagement across New Zealand.

Role Overview

The Investor Relations Manager will play a critical role in raising equity capital from wholesale and sophisticated investors to support both new commercial property acquisitions and existing investment vehicles, including Erskine & Owen’s commercial property funds and syndicated offerings.

This is a strategic, relationship‑driven position requiring strong capital‑raising capability, deep investor networks, and a clear understanding of commercial property investment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end‑to‑end equity‑raising process for new and existing Erskine & Owen investment vehicles, including commercial property funds and syndicated offers.
  • Design and implement capital‑raising strategies aligned with acquisition timelines, investor appetite, and fund performance objectives.
  • Build, manage, and grow a network of wholesale investors including high‑net‑worth individuals, family offices, financial advisers, and wealth managers.
  • Develop high‑quality investor materials including Information Memorandums, pitch decks, fund updates, and due‑diligence documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams (investment, research, finance, legal, and senior leadership) to structure compelling and compliant wholesale investment offers.
  • Manage the full investor due‑diligence and onboarding process, including handling complex investor queries and ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
  • Maintain CRM systems, ensuring accurate data, pipeline tracking, and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies for Erskine & Owen’s investment products, including targeted campaigns, investor communications, digital content, and presentations designed to attract, educate, and convert prospective investors.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to strengthen brand presence, promote investment opportunities, and communicate fund performance, market insights, and company updates.
  • Stay informed of commercial property market trends, investor sentiment, economic indicators, and regulatory changes to inform capital‑raising and marketing strategy.
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in capital raising, investment banking, funds management, private banking, or property syndication.
  • Demonstrated success raising equity from wholesale or institutional investors.
  • Strong understanding of commercial property markets, investment structures, risk‑return dynamics, and fund vehicles.
  • Knowledge of the Financial Markets Conduct Act (FMCA) and wholesale investor eligibility criteria.
  • Exceptional relationship‑management skills with the ability to engage high‑calibre investors and communicate with influence.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex investment propositions clearly and persuasively.
  • Proficient in financial modelling, investment analysis, and preparation of investor materials.
  • Tertiary qualification in finance, property, law, or a related field.
  • Financial Adviser certification is advantageous but not essential.
