Established over 35 years ago, our client has built its reputation as a leading property development and investment partner in New Zealand. Their team delivers high-quality mixed-use developments across the country and manages several high-value investment funds that seek superior returns for our investors.

In addition to managing long-term capital investments in high-quality property assets, they have raised over $500 million in development capital, which has been committed to 26 development projects with an end value of $2.3 billion. 

With future opportunities to continue to deploy high quality development product, as well as further commercial investment acquisitions and resulted fund offerings, they are looking for an accomplished Analyst to join their high-performing team in Auckland.

The Role

The role in question will have key tasks including but not limited to:
  • Monitor financial performance of existing developments via updating feasibilities
  • Prepare feasibilities for new developments, running scenarios and reporting on implications
  • Analysing new development and investment opportunities
  • Assist in due diligence processes, follow-up consultants
  • Assist in establishing bank facilities including coordination of satisfaction of conditions precedent, managing lawyers on generating and processing loan documentation
  • Assist in writing investment recommendations for new projects and variations to existing projects
  • Assist in writing internal investment reports recommending new investments
  • Due diligence coordination on potential investments
  • Analysis of new development projects – building models and populating assumptions
  • Company analysis and investigation
  • Maintaining corporate market data set
  • Analysing market movements in a variety of securities and reporting on the same  
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should be able to demonstrate the following:
  • An NZ recognised tertiary degree in Property or Finance (e.g. Economics, Property, Valuations, Finance, Commerce/Business)
  • 3+ years prior experience within the Property sector (e.g. Commercial Valuations, Property/Development Analysts), investment banking, corporate finance or funds management firm
  • Possess a high financial aptitude, commercial acumen, and ability to analyse financial data from budgets, business plans and valuations
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the capacity to produce high-quality reports, analysis, and presentations under tight deadlines
  • Strong numerical reasoning and well-developed financial modelling skills with an understanding and working knowledge of asset management software
  • Relationship management experience, and a customer/client focus
  • A high level of flexibility and the ability to work hard in a demanding environment
