You’ll be joining a down to earth team with a solid reputation for delivering quality civil projects. This role is an opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and servicing their fleet of vehicles and heavy machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out regular maintenance and servicing on vehicles and heavy equipment, like oil changes and general repairs.
- Check equipment, listen to operator feedback, and keep everything running smoothly.
- Diagnose and fix engine, mechanical, and electrical issues to get machines back in action.
- Work with the team to troubleshoot problems and keep jobs on track.
- Keep clear, up-to-date records of all repairs and services.
- Stay on top of industry trends, new tech, and manufacturer recommendations.
- Test drive vehicles and equipment to make sure everything is performing as it should.
- Qualified Heavy Automotive Engineer (Level 4 – Road Transport).
- Forklift endorsement and OSH cert would be a bonus.
- Minimum Class 2 licence.
- Solid hands-on experience in a heavy diesel mechanic role.
- Good at finding faults and even better at preventing them before they become bigger issues.
- Takes pride in doing quality work and getting the job done right the first time.
- Organised, reliable, and communicates well with the team.
- Safety-focused, with a practical approach to health, safety, and the environment.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Competitive hourly rate with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week.
