This is a significant hire to D3, where the person will be working with the senior leadership team to build on and grow their development offering across:
- Their own developments
- Development management services
- Joint Venture projects.
- Presenting to new clients the company’s existing services through strong commercial and client relationship management.
- Leading and further expanding the overall development management function and capability in line with the company’s strategy.
- Managing the delivery of existing developments.
- Analysing new development and investment opportunities.
- Overseeing project feasibilities and cash flow forecasts.
- Negotiating and overseeing detailed Partnership and Development Agreements.
- Management of master planning and consenting processes.
- Working closely with external stakeholders while managing the design, procurement and tendering of projects.
- Preparing Executive reports to support major investment and capital decisions.
- Strategizing and leading the successful execution of the sales and marketing programmes with emphasis on high density residential development sales and commercial leasing.
- Ensure a robust risk management framework and methodology is applied across property development, to ensure that development project requirements are achieved.
- Develop strong relationships with external consultants and clients to enhance general market knowledge and maintain strong relationships with development partners, advisors, iwi and contractors.
To be considered for this fantastic opportunity the right candidate will have extensive development management experience and be able to demonstrate team leadership qualities that will help grow the business.
You will also have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- You must be highly numerate, able to think laterally and have well developed commercial acumen
- You must be a team player with well-developed EQ who leads by example.
- You should ideally have end to end development management experience with a proven eye for detail.
- You must be fully conversant with each stage of property development from funding to feasibility, planning and consenting, sales & marketing and construction, including both vertical structures and civil works.
- Commercial and/or residential mixed-use project experience would be an advantage.
- Extensive stakeholder management experience
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to produce high quality reports.
