The Client

Precinct Properties are a listed PIE owning 18 properties at a value of $3.3b and are the largest owner and developer of premium inner-city business space in Auckland and Wellington. As city center specialists, Precinct are committed to delivering premium property solutions for their clients including many of New Zealand’s leading businesses. An opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Manager to come on board and progress their career within one of New Zealand’s most well-regarded property businesses.

The Role

The key objective of this role is to ensure the properties in the portfolio are fit for purpose and all issues are resolved quickly, as well as ensuring best-in-class service to the tenants occupying the properties.

The responsibilities under this role may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Provide support to the Property team to enable maintenance related issues to be resolved promptly;
  • Liaise with tenants directly on all FM activities, responding to queries in a timely manner and ensuring quarterly property inspections are completed and documented;
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly reporting, ensuring the BWoF schedule is adhered to and monitoring compliance across the portfolio;
  • Supporting with contractor management processes, including insurance and health and safety documentation across the business;
  • Assisting the Auckland Facilities Operations Lead with major capital expenditure projects for varying asset classes including preparation of business cases, project management tracking and reporting;
  • Processing invoices and work orders
  • Lease and database administrative duties.
Role Requirements

In order to fulfil the duties of the role, the preferred candidate will possess the following attributes:
  • Tertiary qualification, ideally in property/facilities management or trade qualified
  • 3+ years’ experience within property, preferably with strong knowledge of best practice facilities management principles
  • Strong customer service ethic and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication
