Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a global Project and Cost Management Consultancy in a newly created role of Executive Assistant for the Construction Director. This business delivers projects on behalf of clients and developers, covering commercial, industrial, public sector, education, mixed use and more.  

This is a role reporting to the Project Management Director providing professional and effective support across traditional administrative duties, however also providing support to the organisation's projects and deliverables, including marketing, bid and tender coordination, proposals, information gathering and report writing, client presentations, and more. Essentially, you will operate as the 'right hand man/woman' to this Executive.

Provide administrative support including, but not limited to: 
  • Day-to-day administration support to the Director 
  • Diary management and arranging appointments 
  • Providing administrative assistance such as writing and editing emails, drafting memos, bids, proposals and preparing communications on the executive’s behalf 
  • Organising staff, stakeholder and client events 
  • Assisting with stakeholder correspondence and email enquiries 
  • Internal and external presentation set up 
  • Reviewing, scheduling and prioritising personal and Director's tasks
  • Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records 
  
Skills and attributes required: 
  • Competent with Microsoft Office 
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • A team player, while also able to work autonomously 
  • Sound communication skills 
  • Punctual, reliable and professional 
  • A proactive problem solver 
  • Trustworthy, adaptable and the ability to manage competing priorities

This role will see you working with a small and collaborative team, who all enjoy a laugh while working in a busy industry. You will be provided with an induction and training however a foundation in the above skills and a general strength in initiative is necessary to be successful in this role. This would suit someone who can run in parallel with a busy Director and identify how to add time and value to their day.
