More recently, Willis Bond have entered into an agreement with Tauranga City Council to deliver real estate solutions on council-owned land which will rejuvenate the Tauranga City Centre. Willis Bond is looking to bring on board a highly experienced Project Manager who will be instrumental in driving the successful delivery of this refreshed masterplan, which includes a civic whare, museum, library, hotel, and a performing arts and conference Centre.

The role will see you working in a commercially minded, thriving business, with a humble and agile-minded team, with a great emphasis on autonomy and initiative.
  
Key responsibilities: 
  • Accountable for the successful management of design and delivery of existing developments
  • Motivate, coach and drive the performance of the design team, project management team, contractors and suppliers, through a safe, results orientated framework
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders including local council, govt agencies, iwi groups and contractors
  • Manage construction contracts and design process across multiple projects concurrently
  • Manage risk through proactive identification and mitigation
  • At times, assist with managing development feasibilities and cash flow forecasts
  • Promote a strong sense of team culture amongst staff and project participants
  • Provide financial governance of projects
  • Drive and foster innovation with our supply chain
  • Take responsibility for the Health and Safety on live construction sites and ensuring all employees and contractors promote a safe and healthy workplace
Professional experience and skills:
  • High aptitude and understanding of building construction
  • Experience leading significant programmes of work within government led funding & private investment
  • Highly effective at stakeholder management and building relationships at all levels
  • Proven record of leading internal and external teams to successful project outcomes
  • An understanding of project feasibility and due-diligence and construction methodologies would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to produce high quality reports
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
