An exciting opportunity as a Development Manager has arisen with one New Zealand’s most reputable development organisations. My client is a leader in delivering world class commercial, logistics, and industrial assets across New Zealand and due to growth within their pipeline are seeking to bring on an experienced Development Manager.
As a Development Manager working within the property team, you will be responsible for identification and financial assessment of new projects, and the complete delivery of these projects from inception through to design, leasing and marketing, and asset management implementation strategies.
About you
You will have significant development management and project delivery experience within the property market and will be able to ensure that the projects are running on time, and that quality and cost are at held at the core of this role.
Reporting into the Head of Development, you will hit the ground running managing several $20mil + projects across New Zealand. This will see you being involved in projects from concept to completion and will include managing and developing design briefs, cost management, coordinating project resources, managing the design process and contract management.
You will have a strong track record of experience working in for a property developer, a project management consultancy and/or client-side project management role and will be able to lead from the front on all these large commercial and industrial focused projects.
A tertiary degree in Property, Construction, Engineering, Architecture and/or similar is a must along with 5 + years' related work experience managing and delivering property development projects ranging from $20 million +
Excellent stakeholder management and along with the following skills are required:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Management and appointment of all 3rd parties
- Management and execution of Agreements
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with a can-do attitude
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills
