Senior Development Manager

In partnership with Templeton Group, DASL has an impressive development pipeline to manage a wide variety of medium-to-large scale developments across several masterplanned communities throughout Auckland and New Zealand.

Following continued business growth, DASL is now recruiting a highly accomplished Senior Development Manager  which are yet to be launched to the market.

Key Accountabilities:

• Leadership of large-scale residential developments across all stages through to completion.
• Ownership and management of feasibilities and all project costs to achieve financial targets.
• Manage and empower a highly skilled internal team and external project partners.
• Manage external project teams through the design and consenting stages to drive the achievement of high-quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with the sales, marketing, legal, and financial stakeholders to achieve sales, financial, programme and contractual requirements.
• Manage and coordinate with the commercial team through the procurement of Consultant and Construction contracts.
• Manage and oversee developments throughout the construction stages to settlement.
• Prepare timely and accurate informal and formal reports to key development stakeholders.

To be considered for this remarkable opportunity, the ideal candidate will have significant development management experience with an impressive track record in medium-to-large-scale residential or mixed-use developments, together with well-rounded skills and ability to manage high-quality developments across all stages.

Further essential skills and attributes include:

• Relevant tertiary qualification and 15+ years development management experience
• Strong track record of medium-to-large-scale residential or mixed-use developments.
• Sound ability to take ownership and accountability in leading large-scale developments.
• Innate commercial awareness and ability to accurately manage large budgets and contracts.
• Well-rounded skills to proactively plan and manage developments across all stages from initial feasibility, through resource consent, to design, procurement, construction, and completion.
• Team player with a natural leadership quality to both empower and collaborate with internal and external teams.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening).
