A fantastic opportunity has come up to due growth for a Development Manager to identify, initiate and manage a range of development projects for a leading community developer based in Auckland.

The role will require the individual to drive the delivery of new developments while building and maintain solid commercial relationships across the portfolio. The role will report to a Senior Development Manager and supported by a high calibre property team. 

Key Accountabilities:
  • Prepare detailed project strategies and plans for development projects and undertake detailed feasibility and financial analysis of prospective projects.
  • Management of master planning and consenting processes.
  • Select and manage project teams of consultants and contractors in compliance with company policy and objectives to ensure projects are procured on time and within budget.
  • Support the acquisition team on identifying new opportunities.
  • Building key relationships with local authorities, consultants, contractors as well as internal stakeholders.
To be considered for this fantastic opportunity the ideal candidate will have experience as a development manager in feasibility, master planning, due diligence, planning approval, detailed design through to delivery. 

You will also have: 
  • A relevant tertiary qualification. 
  • Preparing feasibilities and assist in analysing new and existing  development opportunities.
  • Producing development feasibilities and cash flow forecasts.
  • Management of master planning and consenting processes.
  • Working closely with external stakeholders while managing the design, procurement, and tendering of projects.
  • Extensive stakeholder management experience 
  • Innate commercial awareness 
  • Strategic thinking/problem solving.
