A high-end property development company with projects in Wellington and Auckland, is looking for a Project Manager keen to move into a Development Manager role based out of their central Auckland office.  

This is a fascinating role for the fact that it offers an opportunity to work with a seriously successful and highly discerning developer that ensures the finished products are well designed, and pride themselves on their attention to detail and producing high quality developments. 

This is a significant strategic hire for the company as the role will require the individual to drive the delivery of new development opportunities and build solid commercial relationships across the Auckland region.

Key Accountabilities
  • Coordinate the provision of services necessary for the delivery of projects.
  • Ensure construction contracts are undertaken within agreed budgets and program timings.
  • Oversight of the development engineering and construction drawings to ensure suitable contract documentation.
  • Manage all contractors and consultant services and liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Work collaboratively with the other internal company departments.
  • Liaise with local government and other authorities to obtain all necessary approvals.
  • Maintain progress reports and provide reporting as requested
  • Ensuring that all employees and contractors understand and accept their responsibility to promote a safe and healthy workplace.
To be considered for this fantastic opportunity the ideal candidate will have  experience as a Consultancy Project Manager from early design engagement, planning approval, procurement, detailed design, and construction.

You will also have:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • Have an eye for identifying new opportunities and turning those opportunities in to reality. 
  • Working closely with external stakeholders while managing the design, procurement, and tendering of projects.
  • Managing the project programme and that all contractors and sub-contractors are working to timeframes set.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to produce high quality reports.
