Job description

A Development Coordinator role is available to join a NZ owned development company with commercial and residential projects across Auckland. 

This is a great role to work for a very successful builder-development company client side, that will have you provide support to the Commercial Manager, Site Managers and Development Managers. You will ensure seamless take off and close out of projects, provide Health & Safety support, and coordination of all project documentation and accounts data entry.

The role is also a stepping stone for someone who is keen to grow their career in Quantity Surveying, Project Management or Development Management. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring seamless take-off of projects by compiling Health & Safety documentation.
  • Liaising with subcontractors to ensure all relevant pre-start documentation has been submitted prior to starting onsite.
  • Health and safety audits.
  • Collating project information such as Producer Statements from subcontractors and applying for council Code of Compliances Certificates and Certificates of Public Use. 
  • Assisting with tender submissions and setting up tenders on Procore and Workbench.
  • Assist Commercial Team with setting up AR & AP Claims on Workbench, upload new plans and management of Project Information and Correspondence on Procore. 
  • Assisting accounts as required with a clear understanding of payments in and out, on an adhoc basis. 
  • Compiling O+M manuals at project completion. 
  • Attending handover meetings for projects and assisting the QS's and SM's by issuing purchase orders if required
Experience and skills required:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in property, construction management, engineering, or cost management.
  • High level of computer literacy and confident with all aspects of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Exposure to the construction industry is preferred but not essential
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A can-do attitude, strong attention to detail and organisation is essential
  • Ability to pick up new systems quickly
