Job description

A leading Auckland and Northland based multi-disciplinary, engineering consultancy is in growth mode and is looking for a civil engineer to join their Northland office.
For over 30 years this company has been delivering civil engineering, land development, surveying, structural engineering and more recently planning projects from concept to completion nationally and throughout Oceania for public and private sector clients in the residential, infrastructure, tourism, disaster relief and educational sectors.

Their emphasis on culture, team fit and on maintaining high professional and technical standards has resulted in new and repeat business and as such, they’re hiring.
Operating out of their tightknit Northland office you will be carrying out and overseeing the design of technical projects which require application of advanced engineering/surveying knowledge. 
The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects designing:
  • Earthworks and sediment, and erosion control
  • Wastewater and storm water solutions
  • Water supply solutions, roading and shared access ways
  • Flood Management solutions
You will be responsible for all aspects of land development engineering from contract and project management through to construction monitoring and client relations.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following:   
  • NZ citizenship/working rights in New Zealand
  • A Bachelor of Engineering or Surveying 
  • 5+ years' experience 
  • Have a background in civil engineering – land development 
  • Strong Civil 3D Skill Set/An appetite to learn Civil 3D if you come from a Surveying background
  • Brilliant communication skills – both verbal and written
