A busy and reliable client on a growth trajectory in NZ are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to expand their national success and local Waikato capacity. There is significant current and future investment being directed by both public and private sector clients in which this Consultancy will heavily participate in, allowing for a very healthy forward pipeline.  

You will work on projects across education - schools and tertiary, healthcare, commercial, residential and more.

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with the Senior Project Managers and leadership team with maintaining client relationships and project delivery. Key Selection Criteria as follows;
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field, i.e:, Construction, Project Management, Civil Engineering
  • An understanding of managing construction contracts 
  • Assist to direct, monitor and control aspects of projects from start through to post-project completion 
  • The ability to manage relationships and stakeholder engagement at various levels
  • The ability to oversee design process, including mitigate risk and provide advice/recommendations to stakeholders 
  • Experience working to programmes within government led funding & private investment 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
