Assistant Development Manager

A leading property and project management consultancy is seeking a driven and ambitious Assistant Development Manager to join their Auckland CBD based team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on exposure to the full development lifecycle while working on high-profile projects that shape the built environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mind, a commercial mindset, and a desire to learn and grow within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of development projects across all stages of the lifecycle.
  • Assist in feasibility studies, financial modelling, and investment analysis.
  • Work closely with senior development managers, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to planning, design, and procurement processes.
  • Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for internal and external use.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and project teams.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • A background in engineering, finance, planning, or a related field.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and deliver insights.
  • A commercial mindset and a keen interest in property development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with a hunger to learn and grow.
  • Previous exposure to property development, investment or related industries is advantageous but not essential.
