A really exciting opportunity to work for a property development company with projects across Auckland, who are looking for a trade qualified Site Manager for one of their new high-rise, luxury developments in central Auckland! 

This is a fascinating role for the fact that it offers an opportunity to work with a seriously successful builder developer with a proud history of high-rise construction projects, but moreover, it provides an opportunity to work with some seriously talented individuals who provide mentorship and a comprehensive suite of services in the industry, which you will be exposed to. 

You will work on one high-rise, high profile project in particular - a new luxurious apartment development in Auckland. 

Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Understand and implement overall project objectives alongside the PM
  • Overall site management and coordination of works.
  • Enforce the program for construction and assist with documentation as per the contract requirements.
  • Identify and advise on areas of potential adjustment to the benefit of the program and budget.
  • Assist with training and guidance of more junior team on site including day to day management and encouragement of efficient activity 
  • Co-ordination of trades and materials.
  • Ensure that all quality control and health and safety is adhered to at all times.
  • Providing up to date information for the Construction and Project Manager on progress. 
  • Facilitate continual development of processes and practices to improve the management system and safe, best practice environment. 

To qualify for the role, the candidate will have as follows: 
  • Trade Certificate qualification or similar.
  • Experience working across either commercial or residential projects. 
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A strength in structure/commercial works. 
  • Be well versed in Health and Safety requirements and committed to running a safe site.
  • Have the ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated with strong planning skills.
  • Able to review and approve shop drawings. 
  • Complete comfort interfacing and managing all stakeholders including, contractors and consultancy partners.
