Exciting Career Opportunity: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Based on a secure pipeline, they are seeking a dynamic Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a passionate Auckland based team and manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of high-profile construction projects. 

In this role, you'll: 
  • Set up project budgets, prepare cash flow forecasts, and ensure projects are cash flow positive. Your financial acumen will be crucial in driving their success.
  • Manage building contracts, oversee construction progress, and ensure projects meet time and budget constraints. 
  • Prepare robust subcontract agreements and actively participate in stakeholder meetings.
  • Work closely with the QS team, Project Managers, and Site Managers, fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation.
  • Uphold health and safety regulations, maintain quality documentation systems, and ensure all projects meet the highest standards of excellence.
  • Attend site meetings, promote innovation, and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. Your commitment to excellence will help make our company the most trusted and respected in the industry.
We are looking for someone with: 
  • A minimum of 8-10 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a track record of managing construction projects ideally up to $50 million.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is desirable. 
  • A quality and solutions orientated mindset. 
  • Efficiency, strive to eliminate wasted time and materials. 
  • A customer and relationship focus, both maintaining and pursuing new opportunities. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project. 
  • Commercially acumen who works well under pressure.
