The Role
As Senior Fund Accountant, you’ll be responsible for all fund and syndicate accounting, including month-end reporting, valuation adjustments, lease accounting (NZ IFRS 16), NAV calculations, distribution modelling, tax support, and audit deliverables. Reporting to the CFO, this is the most senior technical accounting role in the finance team, ensuring integrity and compliance across all funds.

The Role
As Senior Fund Accountant, you’ll be responsible for all fund and syndicate accounting, including month-end reporting, valuation adjustments, lease accounting (NZ IFRS 16), NAV calculations, distribution modelling, tax support, and audit deliverables. Reporting to the CFO, this is the most senior technical accounting role in the finance team, ensuring integrity and compliance across all funds.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering timely and accurate month-end reporting for multiple funds.
- Preparing journals, accruals, and lease accounting adjustments.
- Performing valuation and fair value adjustments for properties.
- Maintaining rolling 12–18 month cashflow forecasts for all funds.
- Calculating NAVs, unit pricing, and modelling distributions.
- Leading fund audits and preparing annual financial statements.
- Managing lender reporting packs and covenant compliance.
- Collaborating with property management and investor relations teams to ensure data accuracy.
We’re looking for someone with:
- CA/CPA qualification (preferred) and strong technical accounting expertise.
- 3+ years’ experience in fund accounting or property asset accounting.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS 16 lease accounting, NAV/unit pricing, and fund audits.
- High attention to detail and ability to produce audit-ready workings.
