A multidisciplinary civil and infrastructure consultancy is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer (CPEng) to join their Auckland team. The firm is well regarded for delivering high-quality outcomes across land development, civil infrastructure, and transportation projects, with a strong emphasis on long-term client relationships and technical excellence.
In this role, you’ll lead civil design and technical delivery with a focus on land development and stormwater infrastructure. It’s well suited to a recently CPEng, technically driven engineer who wants to stay hands-on and avoid a purely project management pathway. You’ll take ownership of technical outputs, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to key engineering decisions, supported by experienced senior leaders in a collaborative environment.

About the Role
You’ll play a key role in delivering technically strong civil engineering solutions, particularly across land development and stormwater infrastructure projects in Auckland. Typical responsibilities include:
- Technical civil design and review across land development projects
- Stormwater and wastewater design and modelling
- Authoring Producer Statements (Stormwater & Wastewater – E1 / G13)
- Providing senior-level technical input across multiple project stages
- Mentoring and supporting intermediate and junior engineers
- Working closely with clients, councils, and internal stakeholders
About You
- Approximately 7–10 years of civil engineering experience
- CPEng (or very recently achieved)
- Strong background in land development and stormwater design
- Producer Statement author experience in Auckland (E1 / G13 highly desirable)
- Recognised NZ Civil Engineering degree
- Strong understanding of NZ design standards and consenting processes
- Clear communicator who enjoys collaboration and technical leadership
- A genuine interest in being a technical specialist, not a pure project manager
