Key responsibilities of this role will include: 
  • Contract administration.
  • Tendering of sub-trades and materials.
  • Measuring and take-offs.
  • Procurement of subcontractor and supplier agreements.
  • Cost control, budget monitoring and reporting.
  • Progress claims variations and payments.
  • Processing, negotiation and agreement of final accounts.
  • Managing relationships with project manager, clients, architects and other key stakeholders
  • Working to keep the project on time and within the agreed budget. 
  • Working with our Site and Project Management team to ensure construction costs and production are managed as efficiently as possible.
  • Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, standards and building codes. 
The Ideal Candidate will have:
  • 5+ years quantity surveying experience within a contractor or consultancy environment
  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • Have a good understanding of commercial NZ construction methodology and local contracts
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written 
  • Be competent in negotiation and client relationship management
  • Have an agile and commercial mindset, with a hands on and solution focused approach to projects and trouble shooting
