A Kiwi-owned leading pure Quantity Surveying consultancy with a strong presence across New Zealand, is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Tauranga. About the Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor within this consultancy, you will embark on a rewarding journey, working closely under the guidance of a Senior QS. This position offers a unique opportunity for professional growth in a supportive environment, where you'll be able to apply and expand your skills in a variety of projects. This role is ideally suited for someone who is positioned between a Junior and Intermediate level and is eager to advance their career in a pure QS consultancy firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in both pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying duties, including cost planning, preparation of bills of quantities, cost control, and valuation of work.
  • Work closely with clients and project teams to ensure the highest quality of service and advice.
  • Support the Senior QS in project management and consultancy tasks, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Engage in continuous learning and development under the mentorship of experienced professionals.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field, recognised in New Zealand. MRICS or NZIQS would be advantageous.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Quantity Surveying, demonstrating a strong foundation in QS principles and practices.
  • A keen learner with the ambition to grow within a pure QS consultancy environment.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in dealing with complex issues, and deploys sound problem solving methodology 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
